Network management

The network under your register, handled.

Every point of sale, kitchen printer, online order, and card payment rides on your network. We design it, install it, watch it, and fix it before it costs you a lunch rush.

What usually breaks first
  • The ISP's box doing everything. One router from the cable company running the register, the kitchen, the office, and guest Wi-Fi on the same network.
  • Wi-Fi dead zones. Handhelds drop orders at the far tables or on the patio.
  • Nobody knows what's plugged in. A printer stops, and the fix is unplugging things until it works.
  • Guest Wi-Fi next to the card terminal. A compliance problem waiting for a scan.

What we do

Built for a store or restaurant, not a living room

Design and install

Business-grade router, switches, and access points placed where the people and the devices actually are. Cabled where it matters, Wi-Fi where it helps.

Monitoring

Omada and UniFi report to our office. We see a device drop, an access point overloaded, or an internet line flapping, often before you call.

Separated networks

Payments, POS, office, and guest Wi-Fi each on their own segment. The way the PCI rules expect it, and the way that keeps a guest's laptop away from your register.

Wi-Fi that reaches

Handheld ordering, tablets at the host stand, and a terminal on the patio only work with coverage that was measured, not guessed.

Diagnose and fix

Slow terminals, printers that vanish, online orders that stop printing. We find the cause on the network side and fix it remotely or in person.

Performance you can see

Which devices use the line, where the Wi-Fi is weak, and when the internet went down and for how long. Useful when you call the ISP.

The gear

Two platforms we stand behind

Both are business-grade, both are managed from a cloud controller, and both cost a fraction of the enterprise names. We pick the one that fits the building and the budget.

TP-Link OmadaRouters, switches, and access points managed together. Good value for a single location that needs separated networks, guest Wi-Fi, and solid coverage without a big spend.Omada partner
Ubiquiti UniFiThe same idea with deeper controls: multi-site management, detailed client views, and room to grow for owners with more than one location or a bigger floor.Ubiquiti partner

Already on one of them? We can take over an existing Omada or UniFi setup and manage it without replacing the hardware.

Good fit

When to call about the network

Opening a locationCable the walls before they're closed and the register goes in on a network built for it.
Switching POS systemsA new system on an old network inherits the old problems. Fix both at once.
Terminals that freezeMost "the POS is slow" calls are the network. We check that first.
Adding handhelds or kiosksMore devices on Wi-Fi means coverage and capacity have to be planned.
A PCI questionnaireSegmented networks and a managed firewall make the answers easy and true.
Guest Wi-FiGive customers Wi-Fi without giving them your business network.
How it works

Review, build, watch

1

Walk the space

We map where devices live, where the Wi-Fi has to reach, and what the internet line can do.

2

Build it

Install and label the gear, separate the networks, test every device at every spot it will be used.

3

Keep watching

Your network reports to us. When something slips, we usually know before the rush does.

FAQ

Network questions

For Evident merchants, network setup is part of a POS install and support is included. For everyone else we quote the hardware at our cost and bill the work by the hour, with the estimate agreed before we start.

Not always. If you already run Omada or UniFi, we can manage what you have. If the whole building runs off the internet provider's box, that one usually needs to go.

No. The controller shows us devices, signal, and traffic levels, not what the traffic contains. Card data never passes through anything we can read.

No. We work with whatever line you have and can add a second one for failover. When the line itself is the problem, our logs give you something to show the provider.
