Referral Partner Terms

What applies when you refer businesses to Evident Business Solutions as an approved referral partner.

Last updated October 30, 2026

The program

Evident Business Solutions LLC ("EBS") pays approved referral partners for businesses they introduce to us. You join when we approve you and you accept these terms in your EBS Portal. You must be 18 or older and in the United States. If you and EBS sign a separate written agreement, that agreement controls where it differs from these terms.

How a referral counts

  • The business comes to us through your referral link or QR code, or gives us your referral code, and fills out a form on our site or applies within 90 days.
  • The first referral for a business counts. A business is matched by email or phone number.
  • These do not count: you or your own business, a business that is already an EBS customer, and a business that was already talking with EBS before your referral.
  • EBS decides whether a referral qualifies, and your Portal shows where each one stands.

What you are paid

  • Your reward is the one EBS set with you, shown in your Portal: either a set amount for each referred business that goes live, or a share of EBS's residual on that business.
  • A business is live once it has processed card payments with EBS for 30 days. A set amount is paid within 30 days after that.
  • A residual share is paid monthly, with a statement, while the business processes with EBS and you remain a partner in good standing.
  • EBS may change the reward for future referrals with notice in your Portal. A change never lowers a reward for a referral that already came in.

Business funding

Referrals for business funding, loans, or cash advances are not paid on these terms. Our referral rewards are for card processing and the services that go with it.

Taxes

We need a completed W-9 before we pay you. If we pay you $600 or more in a calendar year, we send you a 1099-NEC. You are responsible for your own taxes.

Your relationship with EBS

You are an independent referral source, not an employee, agent, or representative of EBS. You cannot sign anyone up, take applications, collect card or bank details, or make any promise for EBS.

What you agree to do, and not do

  • Introduce businesses and share your link. EBS does the selling, the pricing, and the setup.
  • Do not quote rates, prices, fees, savings, approvals, or free equipment. Every price comes from EBS, in writing.
  • Do not send texts, calls, or emails to anyone who has not agreed to hear from you, and follow the anti-spam laws (CAN-SPAM and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act).
  • When you recommend EBS in a post, a review, an ad, or anywhere in public, say plainly that you may be paid for referrals, as the FTC requires.
  • Do not run ads that use the Evident or EBS name, or pretend to be EBS. Use our name and logo only in the materials we give you.
  • Never refer a business you know is engaged in fraud or is otherwise prohibited from accepting cards.

Information about referred businesses

We show you each business's name and where its referral stands. We do not share its contact details, its pricing, or its account with you, and we keep what it tells us private under our Privacy Policy.

Ending the partnership

You or EBS can end the partnership at any time, by message in the Portal or by email. Referrals that qualified before it ended are still paid on the terms that applied. If you break these terms, EBS may end the partnership and decline rewards for the referrals involved.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date above and ask you to accept the new version in your Portal before your link works again.
